RescueWRX

Two readings in. The whole record out.

A technician measures temperature and relative humidity at each monitoring point. Everything the S500 wants recorded is derived from those two numbers plus the air pressure where the job actually is.

What gets computed, and why each one is there

Specific humidity (GPP)
Grains of water per pound of dry air. The only figure that tells you water actually left the building, because unlike relative humidity it does not move when somebody turns the heat up.
Dew point
Operational, not academic. Any surface at or below this temperature is collecting condensation, so a dew point above a cold exterior wall means the drying setup is wetting that wall.
Grain depression
Intake minus exhaust across the dehumidifier. The number that reveals a failed machine before the moisture content does.
Vapour pressure
The underlying quantity the rest are derived from. Recorded because a reviewer who wants to check the arithmetic should be able to.

At sea level the same reading computes as 90.6 GPP. Assuming sea level here would understate it by 23.2%.

A four-day job, computed

Every figure below is produced by the same engine the product runs, at 6,950 ft and 11.36 psia. The drying goal is the affected air reaching the unaffected reference material.

Four monitoring visits showing affected air, the dry standard, the spread between them, and dehumidifier grain depression.

Look at Day 0 to Day 1. Relative humidity dropped from 82% to 61%, which reads as real progress. Specific humidity went 109.3 to 117.9. The structure got warmer, not drier. A log that records only RH would have reported a good day.

What the standard asks for at every visit

RescueWRX captures these because the S500 names them, not because they make a nicer report. Each one is on the record a carrier reviews.

  • Date, time and the technician who took the reading
  • Temperature and relative humidity at each monitoring point
  • Specific humidity and grain depression, computed
  • Material moisture content, by pin or non-invasive meter
  • The unaffected reference material the goal is measured against
  • Equipment on site at the time of the reading
